GulfSport Racing is excited to announce that reigning Gulf Radical Cup Champion Harry Hannam will make a wildcard appearance at the upcoming Radical Cup UK championship round at Silverstone (August 1st and 2nd).
The 18-year-old British driver, living in the UAE, has enjoyed an exceptional campaign in the Gulf Radical Cup, demonstrating impressive speed, consistency, and racecraft throughout the season, to secure the championship title at the last round in March of this year.
His Silverstone appearance provides a great opportunity to test himself against one of the most competitive Radical grids in the world, while gaining valuable experience on the UK’s Silverstone GP Circuit.
GulfSport Racing will be there in support with mechanics and engineers flying in from the UAE, while North Motorsport is supplying the car.
Harry Hannam said:
“I’m excited to be taking on the Radical Cup UK field at Silverstone. It’s one of the most competitive championships in Radical racing, so it’s a great opportunity to challenge myself against some of the best drivers. Winning the Gulf Radical Cup was a huge milestone, and I’m looking forward to building on that. I’d like to thank Radical UK, GulfSport Racing, and North Motorsport for giving me this opportunity, and I’ll be aiming to put together a strong weekend. Updates, links to live stream, and results will all be posted on my Instagram @harryhannamracing”.
While Hannam will not be in his GRC Championship-winning machine, thanks to the Radical ‘Race the World’ concept, the car and specification are exactly the same as in the Gulf Radical Cup.
Radical UK’s Motosport Manager Mandy Sear commented:
“We are excited to see Harry race with us at Silverstone, as the Radical 25/26 Gulf Cup Champion. Having a reigning champion on the grid always raises the stakes!”
The Silverstone event marks another important link between the Gulf Radical Cup and Radical Cup UK, highlighting the opportunities available for drivers to progress and compete on an international stage, and vice versa for UK drivers who compete in both the UK and UAE.
For example, Andy Lowe, who campaigns in the Radical Cup UK and Radical Cup Europe, will be at YAS for Round 1 of the Gulf Radical Cup later this year.
Racing takes place on the 1st and 2nd of August; the action will be live on the Radical Motorsport YouTube page.
Feyzulin and Karim Campaign Radical Cup Europe
Also racing in the Radical Cup Europe are GRC regulars Amir Feyzulin and Jahid Karim. Both having great results, with Feyzulin (GRC 2026/27 National Champion) winning the Fangio Class at the Paul Ricard round last month.
